Happy book birthday! I would tell myself to stay headed toward my true north. There were some diversions along the way on this journey but I'm still pointed in the right (write! haha) direction.

I would like to have told my younger writer self, “Trust those first thoughts bubbling out of you and put them down on paper. Don’t you dare think about left-brained editing for at least 24 hours.”
