Love these tips and how playful and expressive your characters are. Tip-wise, I noticed it's better to take videos instead of posing in photos. The act of doing the pose, pausing the "moment", and doing a screenshot is a more reliable reference for me. It looks less stiff and you can easily explore different poses ♡

Once I was helping a friend setup for a video shoot at a bike shop, it was early and lonely so he asked me if I could help by sitting on the interview chair and talk for a bit so he could setup his camera and audio. So I did while doing my best gollum/smeagol and after a minute hes done and says thank you, everyone please applaud, so everyone else who I hadnt seen where behind the counter on my far right side started applauding…

Wonderful advice! I do the exact same thing; however, often in front of my family who enjoy cracking jokes accordingly! Thank you for these series; I’m really enjoying them!

I absolutely love this. Much of "becoming an adult" is about hiding our feelings, so they become muted even to ourselves. This practice highlights one of the great things about writing kidlit.
