Thanks for the post about why you moved to Substack. I am relatively new here and still feeling my way around. I very much like the "Restack" and "Notes" features. I look forward to seeing your upcoming newsletters.

Thanks for introducing me to substack. I have had mailchimp for years but hardly ever used for the same reasons you mentioned. I'll try to find the time to learn all about substack. I'm looking forward to your newsletters.

Hope you love it! (I love it!) Julie Falatko has a pretty great Substack, FYI--and Adam Rex just kicked one off, as well. :)

Hello, Debbie. I have the same issue with newsletters, ie infrequent posting (I use mailerlite). I've found on substack I write more frequently very easily. I think it's to do with getting a response from people rather than shouting into the void, plus substack's emphasis on fostering community. Hope your newsletter thrives

Welcome, Debbie! I've been very happy with Substack so far. I started my newsletter here and keep it pretty targeted to content for teachers/librarians, but I love the chatty vibe of other kidlit newsletters and now notes too!

Hi Debbie!

On a slightly more substantive note, I’m in the process of transitioning from mailchimp to button down. I have always (will always?) keep my own blog, and mailchimp was the one of the few free services to pull the RSS feed for a weekly digest...but golly they track everything-even when I tell them not to! Buttondown has a sparser interface but for a simple newletter it looks promising.

Buttonsown doesn’t seem like the right product for what you are looking for, but I wanted to gratuitously plug a DIY option even if things seem leaning towards substack.

It's so great to see you here. Substack is becoming better every day. And it's also such a great and easy way to reach out to readers and fellow writers. Really appreciating it more every day. I've been using it as a "repeater" for my newsletter. But am looking at making it more of a newsletter plus thoughts about the industry type thing.

Hey Debbie - nice to see you here. I wondered if you would, after seeing your last Post posts two weeks ago. I started here this morning about the same time as you.

Thanks so much for letting me know about the Notes feature - that's what pushed me over to switching to Substack from Mailchimp.

There is a way to bring your MC archive of campaigns over if you like having things neat, tidy, and in one place.
